Email & WhatsApp

KinLife meets you where you already are. Talk to the same assistant over email and WhatsApp, and receive reminders on whichever channel suits each person. Set these up in Settings.

Your family email address

Every family gets a unique address (yourfamily@email.kinlife.ai). Forward a newsletter, a coach's email, or a school notice from your own email address and the assistant reads it with the same powers it has on the web: it can check the calendar, create events, query your documents, and reply.

  • Emails surface in your Email chat as tidy cards (from, to, body, attachments).
  • Mail sent to the address by anyone outside your family is kept on your family's email inbox page, which the assistant also links you to when you ask what came in. The assistant doesn't read it or reply to it, so mailing lists can't start a loop.
  • You can rename the assistant's email slug (once every six months) from Settings → Email Assistant.

WhatsApp

Register your mobile number to chat with the assistant and get reminders in WhatsApp, with the same full toolset as the web.

  1. 1Go to Settings → Account and click Change next to Phone number. Pick your country and type your number.
  2. 2KinLife gives you a short code (KINLIFE and six digits). Send it from that phone to KinLife on WhatsApp; the Open in WhatsApp button fills it in for you. That links your number.
  3. 3Message KinLife and you're talking to your assistant. Its number is on Settings → WhatsApp. You can send photos for event extraction and voice notes too.
Only numbers registered and activated in Settings receive AI responses, which keeps your family's assistant private and spam-free. An adult can also switch the WhatsApp assistant off for the whole family on Settings → WhatsApp. While the assistant works on a multi-step request you'll see a typing indicator, and a short status message if it takes a while.

Calendar

Google Calendar and Apple Calendar (iCloud) both sync two-way. Because there's a lot to it, calendar setup has its own guide: Calendar.

Which channel does what

  • Web & WhatsApp: full assistant: everything from calendar to lists to travel.
  • Email: full assistant, but as a threaded conversation rather than instant messaging.

Reminders can be delivered by email, on WhatsApp, or in the web app. See Reminders.
